One of the best features of electronic cigarette pens is that they are reusable. Hence it is important to keep e-cigarette parts such as atomizers clean and hygienic. How you clean and maintain your atomizer can directly impact your vaping experience. If you find that you are experiencing e-liquid flavor sweeter than before after some usage, be assured that it is time to clean your atomizer.
Vegetable glycerin, propylene glycol, vape flavor and other ingredients in the e-liquid gradually build up over a period of time from regular usage. And this residue gets accumulated in the atomizer tank that hampers the proper functioning of your vape pen.
There are no fixed rules or definitive ways when it comes to cleaning, and maintaining your atomizers. There are different methods to clean atomizers and users follow what suit them the best. While some vapers prefer to clean their atomizer after each and every use, others do it on a weekly basis. Let’s have a look at some of the ways to clean your atomizer:
Water and vinegar
Use plain water to clean atomizer of gunk. But make it a point to use only hot water or warm water minus any detergent. However simple water may not be able to remove the smell of strong vape flavor. In that case, you can add a little bit of vinegar in warm water, and keep your atomizer in it for at least 10 minutes. This would make the atomizer tank crystal clear.
Vodka contains ethyl alcohol that makes for an effective solvent. Soak the atomizer head and tank in vodka for around 3 to 5 hours. Thereafter take out all the parts and lay them out on a paper towel to dry. There is another way too to clean with vodka. Add a drop of vodka into your atomizer tank, press your finger on the mouth of the atomizer head and give it a strong shake with full vigor. This will help remove the residue and smell.
If you do not prefer to use vodka, you can make use of a paper towel. Take out all the atomizer parts and lay them out on a paper towel. Then clean each and every part with care and precision to remove gunk.
Or you can also lean down the atomizer on a clear tissue paper for about 24 hours. This will make the residue e-juice leak or flow out. Thereafter you can clean it under running water and wipe off with a clean, dry cloth. This is the simplest way to clean atomizer and enjoy premium vaping experience.
Atomizers are a lot like light bulbs. They burn out after some usage and time. While some atomizers may last as long as say 3 months, others may not be able to last longer than 2 weeks. It is better to equip yourself with more than just one atomizer in order to enjoy steady supply of e-cigarette e-liquid. And always properly clean and maintain atomizers to get rid of stuck-on residue accumulated on your heating coil and experience best vaping experience.
