If you really enjoy smoking a cigarette and had really rather not quit except for the fact that it will probably kill you one day, there could be a better alternative for you to use rather than tobacco. The tobacco, the chemicals, and the act of burning it is what is most dangerous for smokers. The thing is that in order to get the nicotine from the tobacco, you either have to burn it or use a vaporizer that is especially designed for tobacco use. Many people have switched to vaporizers, but for those that are really not interested in this method, the electric cigarette could be a more plausible answer for them.
The e-cigarette uses no tobacco at all. It is a battery operated device that looks very similar to a cigarette. The battery stick looks like the paper cylinder that would normally hold the tobacco. Attached to the battery stick is a small screw in device called an atomizer. This is the part of the device that heats the air and flows through the nicotine liquid. The nicotine liquid is held in the filter portion of the device. Those are the three parts of the e-cigarette and it is as easy as one, two, three to assemble and even easier to use.
Once you assemble you electronic cigarette, it is ready to use. One charged battery stick will usually last an average smoker all day and sometimes longer. The atomizer needs no charging. The nicotine filter is almost equivalent to one pack of tobacco cigarettes and one filter should last an average one pack a day smoker all day too. This means that you can assemble your e-cigarette in the morning before you leave and it should last you until bedtime.
Some people have been led to believe that using an electric cigarette can make you stop smoking. It all depends on how you look at this. When you stop burning tobacco to get your nicotine and you use your e-cigarette full time, technically you have stopped smoking, but you are still using the nicotine that you get in the electric cigarette. You are still putting something in your mouth and inhaling it, but it is not smoke, but vapor. Using an e-cigarette does not mean you have broken your addiction to nicotine, only that you have cut your ties to tobacco. Some e-cigarette users use this device while they continue to smoke tobacco as well, but this is not recommended.
